IIT Delhi is conducting JEE Advanced 2020 on May 17. Official website off JEE advanced has been updated for the 2020 session. Along with the update in the official website (jeeadv.ac.in) important dates has also been released. The IIT Joint Admission Board (JAB) had announced to conduct the exam in United States, designating it as an overseas exam center. The IIT JAB is to shortlist top 2.5 lakh qualifiers of the JEE Main 2020 for appearing in JEE Advanced 2020. Candidates need to fill the application form as an initial stage of the JEE Advanced 2020. JEE Advanced Syllabus with Analysis

The exam conducting body releases Syllabus of JEE Advanced every year. More or less, the syllabus is usually the same. Students appearing for the exam can refer NCERT textbooks for class 11 and 12 for the exam syllabus.

JEE Advanced Syllabus for Paper I consists of questions from the subjects of – Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics.
Some of the major topics from each subject will be:

Physics: It consists of units & dimensions, speed of sounds, mechanics, thermal physics, electricity & magnesium, optics, modern physics and much more.

Chemistry: Physical Chemistry includes general topics as oxidation, reduction, gaseous & liquid state, atomic structure & chemical bonding, electrochemistry, surface chemistry etc. Inorganic Chemistry includes preparation & properties of non-metals, ores & minerals and etc. Organic Chemistry will include reaction of benzene, carbohydrates, amino acids 7 peptides etc.

Mathematics: It contain topics like Algebra, Matrices, Probability, Trigonometry, Geometry, Integral & Differential Calculus and much more.

For JEE Advanced 2020 Paper II:
Paper II comprise of simple drawing containing lines, angles, triangles and etc., surface texture, relative location, details of its components parts, common domestic or day to day life objects like equipment, furniture, architectural awareness questions, etc.

JEE Advanced 2020 Application Form

Candidates must check the following information regarding JEE Advanced 2020 Application Form before proceeding to fill the form:

  • JEE Advanced 2020 Application Form will be filled through online mode.
  • Candidates will be able to fill the form by first week of May 2020.
  • The online registration will get closed by second week of May 2020.
  • Candidates are advised to register with working email ID & mobile number at time of JEE Advanced 2020 registration to get login credentials.
  • Along with academic & educational details, candidates will also have to fill the exam city preference.
  • No correction facility in the application form will be provided by the board so candidates must fill the details carefully.
  • Candidates will have to submit scanned copies of all required documents.
  • Documents to be submitted at time of registration are:
  • 10th certificate (for Date of Birth verification)
  • Birth certificate (if it is not mentioned in 10th certificate)
  • 12th or equivalent examination certificate
  • Category Certificate (If SC/ ST/ OBC-NCL)
  • PWD certificate (if necessary)
  • PIO/ OCI certificate (if applicable), etc.

JEE Advanced 2020 Registration

It is the next step after checking the eligibility criteria for JEE Advanced 2020. The candidates have to get themselves registered for the exam. The registration portal will be available on the official website of JEE Advanced. The students shall have to complete 3 steps which include filling all the basic details, & choosing the test city, uploading some important documents and paying the registration fee. Students must ensure that they complete the application procedure along with the payment well before the last date.

They should also know that the registration fee shall not be refunded in any case. Candidates must also be curious to know about the expected registration fee for JEE Advanced 2020 Exam.

JEE Advanced 2020 Registration Fee

The students who are applying for JEE Advanced 2020 must pay the registration fee as well. Without paying the registration fee, the application of the student will be treated as invalid and they will not be able to sit for the exam. The registration fee is different for all the categories. They can pay the fee through the following means:

3.Net Banking

JEE Advanced 2020 Admit Card

Those students who filled the JEE Advanced 2020 Application Form on time will only get the admit card for JEE Advanced 2020. It will be available online only on the official website. It shall not be sent by post. The JEE Advanced 2020 Admit Card will contain the following details of the student:

  • Name
  • Roll number for JEE (Advanced) 2020
  • Photograph
  • Signature
  • Date of Birth
  • Address for correspondence
  • Name and address of the examination centre allotted to the candidate.

The admit card which the candidate shall download will be a temporary admit card. At the test centre, the student shall be provided, the original admit card of JEE Advanced 2020. It is advised to the students that they keep this original admit card with them till the admission process gets over.

EE Advanced 2020 Exam Pattern

Students who shall appear for JEE Advanced 2020 Exam must know its exam pattern. It is an important thing to do since JEE Advanced is a very much competitive examination and to crack it, requires a strategic preparation. For this, the exam pattern is not very much clear. JEE Advanced 2020 Eligibility Criteria

It is the next step which the candidates have to ensure that they check. Aspirants must ensure that they check the eligibility criteria for JEE Advanced 2020 before moving on to the application form section.   1. Performance in JEE Main 2020 Exam:The student who wants to appear for JEE Advanced 2020 must be in the top 2,24,000 which includes all categories in Paper-1 of JEE (Main) 2020.
  2. Age Limit: The student should have been born on or after October 01, 1993. A relaxation of 5 years shall be given to the students belonging to SC, ST and PWD candidates.
  3. Number of Attempts: The student is eligible to appear for the exam for a maximum of 2 times in two consecutive years.
  4. Appearnce in Class 12th or equivalent Exam: The aspirant
    should have appeared for the Class XII (or equivalent) examination for the first
    time in either 2019 or 2020.
  5. Earlier Admission in IIT- At the time of admission, the student should not have joined any program at any of IITs.

JEE Advanced 2020 Answer Key

The answer key for JEE Advanced 2020 shall be declared on the official website after the exam has been conducted. Only those students will be able to check the answer keys for JEE Advanced 2020 who appeared for both the parts of the exam. The response sheet of the candidates for both Paper 1 and Paper 2 will be sent to the candidates on their registered mail Id.

Through the answer key and the response sheet, the aspirants can calculate their estimated marks in the exam. For it, they can refer to the marking scheme for JEE Advanced 2020 Exam which has been given above on this page. Aspirants are allowed to send the feedback on the answer keys. It is necessary that the students send the feedback well before the last date.

JEE Advanced 2020 Scoring Scheme

JEE Advanced 2020 Exam will consist of 2 papers, each having 3 sections. The aggregate marks for the final rank list will be prepared as per the marks in each of the subjects for both the papers. The aggregate marks which the students shall obtain in JEE Advanced will be the sum of the marks scored in all the 3 subjects.

JEE Advanced 2020 Result

The JEE Advanced 2020 Result will be declared after all the feedback has been taken from the aspirants for the answer key which was uploaded on the official website. The result shall be declared for only those students who appeared for both the papers of JEE Advanced 2020 Exam. A separate rank list shall be prepared as per the category, for the counselling purpose.

JEE Advanced Cut off

Cut off is the minimum qualifying marks which must be scored in Advanced to be able to sit for counselling. JEE Advanced 2020 Cut off will vary institute-wise and category-wise.

 

As for the total marks, a candidate must obtain the below-set marks to qualify:

  1. Total marks to obtain in Paper 1 and 2- 372 (186 in each paper)
  2. Total marks in Physics- 124 (62 each in Paper-1 and Paper-2)
  3. Total marks in Chemistry- 124 (62 each in Paper-1 and Paper-2)
  4. Total marks in Mathematics- 124 (62 each in Paper-1 and Paper-2)

JEE Advanced Counselling Procedure

The counselling will be organized and managed by JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) for admission to IITs & ISM Dhanbad. It is expected to begin in June 2020. Check the stepwise JEE Advanced Counselling Procedure mentioned below.

Enter your registration number, roll number, date of birth and password

Step 2- Online Choice Filling
Log-in using your credentials to choose branch, course and institute
Lock your final choices and take its printout

Step 3- Seat allotment

  • It will be divided into three categories namely,
  • Based on Date of Birth (DOB)
  • Nationality
  • Percentage of disability

Step 4 – Allocation of Seats

The final step in the counselling process is the allocation of seats. The allocation of seats will be done based on the seat matrix list provided by the participating colleges.
