KVPY

The Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) is the national level fellowship program. The Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, has established this program in the year 1999. The Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana is organized to provide scholarship up to the pre-Ph.D level to the selected candidates.

KVPY entrance test is a national level entrance test organized for the selection of the eligible candidates by Aptitude Test & Interview organized by IISc. Through this entrance exam, candidates are provided scholarships up to Pre-Ph.D. level for their selection. Eligible candidates awarded with the scholarships will be able to pursue their career in the Research Science.

The Indian Institute of Science is located at Bangalore set up a Management Committee and a National Advisory Committee (NAC) for overseeing its implementation. From this content, students can get detailed information about KVPY.

KVPY 2020 Exam Date has been Announced on 1st week of July 2020. The application and be Filled till 23nd week of July 2020. The  Date of the Examinations 1st week f November 2020.

KVPY 2020 Syllabus

Candidates can prepare for KVPY 2020 entrance test from the topics of 10th, 12th, and 1st year UG syllabus as per the selected stream. There will be no prescribed syllabus for the entrance test. The aptitude test will be design to test analytical ability & understanding of candidate’s knowledge.

Mock tests will be also conducted by the board so that candidates get familiar with the pattern of written examination.

MERIT MARKS CALCULATION

Final result is announced in the month of April (next year). Final merit marks will be revealed during this process. While calculating final merit marks, 75% weightage is given to marks scored in aptitude test and 25% weightage is given to marks scored in interview.

FAQ’S (Frequently Asked Questions)

Can I give the exam in Hindi medium?

Yes, you will be able to give the exam in Hindi medium also.

Is it necessary to study all four subjects?

For SA stream, you will have to study for all four subjects. For SB/SX stream, candidates can study any three of the four subjects.

When will be the notification release for the exam?

The notification for KVPY 2020 will release on second week of July 2020.

Do we also have to send the hard copy of application form?

There will be no requirement to send any hard copy of KVPY 2020 application form.

Can appearing candidates apply for the test ?

Yes, candidates appearing in their 11th level can apply for SA stream while candidates appearing in their 1st year UG degree in Basic Sciences can apply for SB stream.

Is the application form fee refundable ?

No, the application form fee will be non-refundable.

Can I fill the application form in offline mode?

No, the application form will be filled only through online mode.

When will be the entrance test held?

The entrance test of KVPY 2020 will be held in the 1st week of November 2020.
