TN-Class 10 Examinations Cancelled

The Tamil Nadu 10th exam has been cancelled finally as per the decision of the CM. All students of classes 10 and 11 would be promoted to the next class.

Tamil Nadu CM Edappadi K Palaniswami announced the decision on Tuesday to cancel the Tamil Nadu 10th exams and even the Tamil Nadu 11th exams while promoting all the students to the next class.

The decision was finally taken by the CM after a lack of surety for over two months with the Covid-19 lockdown in place.

Earlier, the Tamil Nadu 10th exam was supposed to be conducted from June 15.

The CM took the decision due to the rising coronavirus cases in the country and keeping student safety in priority decided to promote all students of classes 10 and 11 in the state due to the current pandemic situation in Chennai especially.

DMK chief MK Stalin tweeted earlier requesting the CM to take a good decision on the Tamil Nadu 10th board exam.

In his tweet, the opposition party leader said, “I have come to know that CM is heading a meeting regarding the 10th std public exam today afternoon. I request him to set aside stubbornness, ego and make a decision that people and students expect! In the end not only the future of the student but also the future of the state is at stake.”
